Google’s free video chat service, Google Hangouts, created a lot of buzz when it was first announced. The hype that surrounded Google Hangouts might have made it difficult for chiropractic practice owners, like you, from getting the full picture on what a powerful and simple tool it is. Google Hangouts is great for building a connection with current and potential patients.

Hangouts provide a rare opportunity for you to engage with your patients face-to-face outside of their appointment, whether it be in a one-on-one setting or a group setting. Below are a few ways you can use Hangouts for your chiropractic practice.

1.    Host a Q&A Hangout

As a chiropractor, you likely hear some of the same questions repeatedly. By hosting a Hangout, you can answer those commonly asked questions in a manner that is more personal than a written FAQ page. For example, you could focus your time on addressing common misconceptions about a particular service you provide.

The other benefit of the interactive style of conversation provided by Hangouts is that you can listen to feedback from your patients and responds directly.

Video Q&A sessions give potential patients a chance to learn more about you, the services you provide, and the benefits of the services.

2.    Educate People About Chiropractic Care

This can be a wonderful way to establish yourself as an expert in chiropractic care. Consider seasonal topics or ideas that relate to current events. For instance, many patients want to know how new laws affect them. You can host a Hangout that explains how the new legislation affects them in a way that is easy to digest.

If you take advantage of the “Hangouts on Air” feature, you can record your Hangout and post it to YouTube, Google+, and your website for future viewing. This has the additional  benefit of providing you with more unique and valuable content to promote chiropractic care and the services you offer.

3.    Demonstrate How Your Services Work

Let your expertise shine through while providing valuable information to viewers by showcasing how your services or products work.

Be sure to make your demonstration informative, but fun and interesting. Along with promoting a service or product you believe in, you will be building rapport with viewers. Aren’t you more likely to purchase from a person who took the time to educate you at no extra charge? Doesn’t it make you trust them more?
