Video Advertising for Your Chiropractic Practice: Why It’s Important

YouTube’s popularity reaches an estimated 4 billion video views every day. What this indicates is that nearly half of the world’s population finds at least one interesting video to click on per day. Therefore, involving your chiropractic practice in online video advertising can increase interest in your chiropractic services on a local level.

YouTube predicts that by 2015 more than 50% of all online ad campaigns will include cost-per-view video ads. Based on this statistic, as a local business, a good marketing strategy would be to take advantage of the video advertising market. Fortunately, for business owners, a geo-targeted video ad campaign can be set up to target a particular audience and specific viewer demographics at a cost-effective rate.

How Much Will Video Advertising Cost?

Video advertising online is determined by the number of times a video is actually viewed not the number of times an ad appears (referred to as “impressions”). There is cost to the advertiser only when their video is actually viewed. To calculate a view, a user must watch the video for 30 seconds or see the end of the ad. These ads are targeted towards local viewers that Google has identified through analytical information accumulated from their display networks, YouTube and YouTube search.

4 Advertising Formats Available on YouTube

The TrueView feature on YouTube lists a number of options for video advertising with short descriptions to help advertisers select their specific needs. Advertisers can choose from Google Display Network, YouTube Videos, and YouTube Search and experiment with the four different ad formats to create the highest return and reach possible. Formats include: in-stream, in-slate, in-search, and in-display as listed in the graphic below.
