In last month’s blog, we told you how to set up profiles on the most important review sites. So now you may wonder, “How do I get more reviews for my chiropractic business?” The three following tips will help you gain more reviews and improve your engagement.
Engage: Make sure to promote your online review sites while your patients are in the office. Following their service, use the patient’s positive experience to initiate a review. Engage with each patient that you see and before they leave, simply let them know that you would appreciate their feedback. For example:
“Hey, Ms. Smith, I wanted to let you know we really appreciate your business. I hope we provided you an excellent experience today. We’d love to get your feedback about your experience on our review sites.”
Educate: After your patient knows about your review profiles on sites like Yelp and Google+, they may need a little more instruction as to how to use these sites. Take time to familiarize yourself with these sites, so if your patients do have questions, you are already up-to-speed with the subject matter. For example:
“We have a few different review sites we use. Are you familiar with using Yelp or Google+?”
It is best (and easiest) for patients to leave a review on a site they already use. Certain review sites, like Yelp, may filter a review so it can’t be seen if it is from a brand new account. However, if you have a patient who is eager to share their experience, make sure you encourage them to leave a review for your chiropractic business on multiple sites.
Enhance: Visual cues are helpful to enhance your online reviews. Make sure there are links on your website to your different review sites. Also, include links on all your marketing materials such as: business cards, appointment reminders, customer surveys, etc. to give your patients a visual prompt to review you. Additionally, you can use the iCard tool within the ChiroMatrix platform to send your patients an email encouraging them to leave online reviews.
Building reviews over time will improve the likelihood of getting your reviews accepted. Note that if you try to get every single patient to leave you a review all at one time, the reviews will most likely be filtered by the review sites, as they look at this as an unnatural pattern. Instead, request that your patients review you after they come in for treatments so that they are genuine and will gradually create a presence. Finally, do not set up a computer in your office for review submissions. Review sites are able to tell if the reviews are coming from the same place and will filter them.
